Key Responsibilities
- Guest Interaction: Greet guests warmly, escort them to tables, and present menus.
- Reservation/Waitlist Management:
Handle phone inquiries, manage booking systems, and provide accurate wait times.
Floor Management: Monitor dining room activity, coordinate seating to balance server workloads, and manage flow during busy periods.
Customer Service: Address customer inquiries, handle minor complaints, and provide a welcoming, professional atmosphere.
Operational Support: Maintain cleanliness at the host station and assist with tasks like clearing tables or answering phones.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Communication: Excellent verbal and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and staff.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple tasks, such as phone calls, walk-ins, and reservations, simultaneously.
- Experience: Previous experience in a restaurant, hospitality, or customer service role is often preferred.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for long periods during a shift.
