Job Description:
Responsibilities
Diagnose and Repair: Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and software issues; replace faulty components like rollers, fusers, print heads, and circuit boards.
Installation and Setup: Unpack, set up, and configure new printers on local networks, install drivers, and link devices to client computers or company servers.
Preventive Maintenance: Conduct routine cleaning, calibration, and part lubrication to extend printer lifespan.
User Support: Train staff or clients on proper equipment usage, paper handling, and simple self-troubleshooting steps.
Record Keeping: Track service calls, log parts used, and manage spare parts inventory.
Education: High school diploma or GED; trade school certification in electronics, computer repair, or a related field is preferred.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of printer mechanics, electronics, and basic networking (TCP/IP, Wi-Fi configuration).
Physical Ability: Capability to lift heavy equipment (often up to 50 lbs) and stand, bend, or reach during repairs.
Soft Skills: Good customer service, clear communication, and analytical problem-solving abilities.
