Job Description:

• Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical diagrams to determine setup procedures.
• Select and install the appropriate machine dies, tooling, and sizing rings.
• Configure machine controls, including heating/temperature zones, vacuum, and air pressure, according to standard operating procedures. 

• Load raw materials (e.g., plastic resins, liquid polymers) into the machine hopper.
• Start the extrusion process, monitoring machine speed, pressure, and temperature to achieve a stable production run.
• Synchronize the speed of the extrusion, cutting, and winding equipment.

• Continuously inspect extruded products for defects like bubbles, thickness inconsistencies, roughness, or discoloration.
• Measure product dimensions (gauge, diameter, wall thickness) and make real-time adjustments to maintain exact tolerances.
• Ensure finished products meet all safety and client requirements. 

• Perform routine preventive maintenance, which includes cleaning dies, screws, and barrels, and lubricating moving parts.
• Identify operational malfunctions and troubleshoot mechanical or processing issues quickly to minimize downtime.
• Replace worn or damaged parts and assist the maintenance team during complex repairs. 

• Accurately record production data, including raw materials used, product weight, output quantities, and any rejected materials.
• Fill out production logs, shift-change reports, and equipment checklists.

• Strictly adhere to all safety guidelines and company policies.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), such as safety glasses, steel-toed boots, and ear protection.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace (following 5S principles where applicable).

• Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent is typically required. Vocational or technical training in mechanics or manufacturing is a strong plus.
• Experience: 1 to 3+ years of experience operating industrial extrusion machines or working in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Strong understanding of machinery, mechanics, and the ability to use hand tools.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long shifts (10-12 hours), work in warm/noisy industrial environments, and lift/carry heavy materials (up to 40-50 pounds).
• Math & Analytical Skills: Ability to perform basic math (measurements, percentages) and read technical instructions.
• Teamwork: Excellent communication skills to coordinate with team members across different shifts, supervisors, and quality control personnel.
