Job Description:

Responsibilities
  • Formwork Assembly: Construct, erect, and align wooden or prefabricated system formwork (e.g., Peri, Doka) for structural elements like columns, beams, slabs, and walls. 
  • Blueprint Reading: Interpret construction drawings, engineering plans, and specifications to ensure the formwork meets precise dimensional tolerances.
  • Material Preparation: Measure, cut, and shape timber, plywood, and metal according to exact project specifications.
  • Safety Enforcement: Ensure formwork is securely braced to withstand the heavy pressure of wet concrete, and strictly adhere to all on-site health and safety regulations. 
  • Dismantling & Maintenance: Safely strip and disassemble the formwork once the concrete has cured, clean the panels, and prepare them for reuse. 
Technical Qualifications
  • Experience: Minimum 3–5 years of on-site experience as a carpenter or concrete specialist.
  • Tools: Proficiency with hand tools (hammers, chisels, tape measures) and power tools (circular saws, drills).
  • Education: High school diploma, vocational certification, or completion of a recognized carpentry apprenticeship program. 
Physical & Soft Skills
  • Physical Stamina: Ability to perform heavy manual labor, lift heavy materials (over 25-50 kg), and work continuously in extreme weather conditions and at heights. 
  • Teamwork: Ability to work closely with other construction professionals, including steel fixers, concrete pourers, and site supervisors. 
  • Spatial Awareness: Strong mechanical and spatial reasoning skills to visualize 2D plans into 3D structural frameworks.
