Key Responsibilities
Install units: Set up new split, window, or central air units and connect pipes and wires.
Fix problems: Find why a machine stopped working and replace broken parts like motors or switches.
Do routine checks: Clean dirty filters, wash coils, and check gas levels.
Test systems: Run tests to make sure the unit cools well and uses power safely.
Keep records: Write down work done and report parts used to the manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Education: High school diploma or trade school certificate in air conditioning or refrigeration.
Experience: 1 to 3 years of hands-on work with cooling systems.
Technical skills: Ability to read wiring diagrams and use tools like multimeters and gauges.
Physical strength: Ability to lift heavy tools, stand for long hours, and work in tight spaces.
