Job Description:
Responsibilities
- System Diagnostics: Utilizing scan tools, oscilloscopes, and multimeters to diagnose engine, transmission, braking, and electrical system failures.
- Troubleshooting: Interpreting diagnostic trouble codes (DTCs), technical service bulletins (TSBs), and wiring diagrams to locate hidden faults.
- Repair & Calibration: Performing complex repairs, replacing components, and updating vehicle software to fix issues.
- Documentation: Maintaining accurate records of test results, inspections, and repair work.
- Technical Support: Mentoring junior mechanics and collaborating with service advisors to explain technical findings to customers.
Job Requirements
- Experience: Typically requires 3–5 years of hands-on automotive repair experience.
- Certifications: ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) certifications are highly preferred.
- Skills: Proficiency in computer-based diagnostic equipment, strong problem-solving abilities, and deep knowledge of automotive electronics.
