Job Description:
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Transport Operations: Safely transport passengers or goods to designated locations on schedule.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections (before/after trips), ensure proper fueling, and arrange for repairs or servicing.
- Route Planning: Utilize navigation tools to determine the most efficient routes and bypass traffic or construction.
Administrative Tasks: Keep accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, and, if applicable, handle invoices and payments.
Cargo Management: Load and unload items securely to prevent damage during transit, often requiring the ability to lift heavy objects.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Licensing: Valid driver's license with a clean driving record (CDL may be required based on vehicle type).
- Experience: Proven experience as a professional driver.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in using GPS and navigation apps.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to sit for extended periods, lift heavy items, and work flexible hours, including nights and weekends.
- Interpersonal Skills: Professionalism in dealing with clients or passengers.
