Job Description:
Responsibilities
Crew Supervision: Assign daily tasks, manage staff schedules, and direct the activities of construction workers and trade professionals.
Safety Enforcement: Ensure the worksite complies with all health and safety regulations, enforce the use of personal protective equipment (PPE), and conduct hazard assessments.
Project Tracking & Planning: Read blueprints and schematics, translate plans into daily objectives, and monitor workflow to prevent delays.
Resource Management: Monitor supply inventory, order necessary materials, and coordinate equipment availability.
Quality Control: Inspect work in progress for accuracy and ensure it meets industry standards and project specifications.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
Leadership & Communication: Strong ability to motivate teams, manage conflicts, and communicate clearly between management and the crew.
Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of construction methods, building codes, and standard industry practices.
Problem-Solving: Capability to quickly adapt to setbacks (e.g., weather issues, supply shortages, or personnel changes).
Organizational Skills: Proficiency in using project management software and tracking crew productivity.
