Responsibilities

Installation & Setup: Safely install split systems, window units, central AC, and ductwork.
System Diagnosis: Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical malfunctions, identifying leaks and performance issues using diagnostic tools.
Maintenance & Repair: Conduct routine servicing (cleaning coils, clearing drains, and checking gas pressure) and replace worn or defective components.
Refrigerant Handling: Safely handle, recover, and charge refrigerants in compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
Documentation: Keep accurate logs of maintenance, service calls, and parts used.
Customer Service: Explain repair needs, provide cost estimates, and offer advice on energy-efficient system usage.

Qualifications & Requirements

Education: High school diploma, supplemented by an accredited HVAC/R certification or vocational training.
Technical Skills: Strong understanding of electrical circuits, the refrigerant cycle, and reading schematic diagrams.
Physical Capabilities: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work in confined spaces or varied weather conditions.
