Job Description:

• Machine Setup: Load raw material onto the unwind stand, install and adjust slitting knives/blades, and thread the material through the machine according to work orders.
• Operations: Operate machinery at appropriate speeds, ensuring proper tension control and alignment for accurate slitting.
• Quality Control: Inspect finished rolls for defects, accurate width, clean edges, and proper rewind tension.
• Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance, lubrication, and troubleshooting of minor machine malfunctions.
• Safety & Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including wearing required PPE, and maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Documentation: Record production data, including material usage, waste, and downtime. 
   

• Technical Skills: Understanding of slitting machine mechanics, blade setting, and speed regulations.
• Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to troubleshoot and repair minor equipment issues.
• Precision: Strong attention to detail regarding measurements and quality standards.
• Physical Stamina: Capability to lift materials (often up to 50 lbs), stand for long periods, and work in a fast-paced environment.
