Responsibilities

Operations Oversight: Coordinate and supervise piling activities (e.g., rotary drilling rigs, tractor-mounted machines) according to project drawings and method statements.
Quality Control: Monitor critical steps including pile depth, verticality, reinforcement cage placement, and the concrete pouring process.
Team Management: Assign daily tasks, conduct worker briefings (toolbox talks), and provide training for safe and efficient work practices.
Resource Allocation: Organize materials, ensure machinery is in good working order, and coordinate the mobilization or servicing of equipment.
Safety Enforcement: Enforce safety procedures, identify workplace hazards, and ensure compliance with construction regulations.
Reporting & Troubleshooting: Maintain daily progress reports, record operational delays, and troubleshoot on-site issues (such as bore collapses or obstructions).

Skills and Qualifications

Experience: Typically 1 to 8 years of hands-on experience in construction supervision or piling operations.
Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of soil conditions, piling techniques (driven, bored cast-in-situ), and piling rig operation.
Education: A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is highly preferred, though relevant trade experience is also valued.
Core Abilities: Ability to read/interpret structural blueprints, strong problem-solving skills, and excellent team leadership abilities.
